Calendar Stickers for moms, animal lovers and everybody else

How to use your student planner to organize your academic life
Make that deadline!
Papers cannot be written well the day before the deadline – that is, for most people that will result in a paper that gets at least one grade point lower grade than if they'd started well ahead of time. In college your teachers will not remind you of your homework every time you see them – and you also see them less often than in school. Still, those papers and tests do have to be done – and you want to do them well to get ahead.
This is why getting organized is so important. And it can't hurt that being organized will help you later in life as well.
As anyone will tell you: to get organized you need a planner. In fact, you need a GOOD planner and you need to use it too, of course.

As soon as students are expected to organize their own homework, you will need a planner or agenda book to keep track of things. This generally starts in Middle School - and as students get more and more responsibility - really never stops. After all, most professionals need an planner as well.
In college though - you really can't do without. Planning group work, finishing essays, handing in papers - teachers are no longer holding your hand.
To keep organized it's practical if your agenda book already has all the dates printed out. The best planners don't skip any dates and last a whole year. Where for school kids an undated planner will often suffice, in college this really will no longer do.

Your kids have a busy schedule: school, soccer practice, ballet... Play dates, going to the park, homework... You cannot organize every detail of their lives, but you do have to keep track of a lot. These family calendars and organizers have been created just for your challenge as a mom of keeping track of the schedules in your family.
In between - try and schedule some time for yourself too, will you! Moms need play time as well, to remember what adult conversations and adult interests look like, sound like, feel like. With your husband - or without - make sure you get to relax too.
