The Audubon Society publishes roughly two kinds of calendars:

1. Calendars featuring the work of John James Audubon reproduced
2. Calendars featuring wildlife photographs

2010 Motivational and Inspirational Calendars

Where do we find inspiration?
One of the simplest way to get inspired daily, is to have an inspirational calendar at home. Whether it’s the spiritual quotes, the nature photographs, or the way they help us stay organized… it all helps just a bit to stay motivated, even when life just isn’t working the way you’d like.

Frans Lanting Desk Agenda Planner 2010

As far as I can find out there are two planners out for 2010 featuring the extraordinary nature photographs of Frans Lanting. The first features his landscape photography, the second is devoted to the Buddhist inspiration of Pema ChÖdrÖn, illustrated with captivating natural images.

Beautiful Songbird Photography calendars and planners

Songbirds aren't just beautiful to listen to, they're also a class of birds that often have very beautiful feathers. So they're a good subject for nature photography as well.

On this lens you will find calendars and planners devoted to songbirds. In one case you will even get a CD with birdsongs along with the calendar. For the real or aspiring birders among you. I love nature photography, but art based on nature is equally enchanting. I do think that's a good word for this lens, because many of the calendars on here turn nature into something romantic, not quite of this world. Colors turn pastel because of the use of watercolors and the bright colors of nature become almost luminous in the hands of these artists.

A biology teacher of mine said once that the only reason we don't think ducks are pretty is because we see them too often. Some of the artists who made these calendars clearly agree. You'll find common birds portrayed as well as rare ones.
